Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security system used as an additional level of account protection from malicious actions.

In this guide, we will demonstrate how to set up 2FA on your Consta account in just a few minutes.

Step 1. Open the main page of Consta and click on your profile icon in the top right corner:

Step 2. From the dropdown list, select the “Security” section:

Step 3. Now click the “Enable 2FA” button:

Step 4. Click the arrow to see the list of two-factor authentication setup methods:

Step 5. Choose “Google Authenticator”:

Step 6. Now you need to download the Google Authenticator app from the Apple Store or Google Play and click “Continue”:

Step 7. You can see a QR code and a "Secret Key", consisting of letters and numbers.

Step 8. Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone and tap on the "+" icon in the bottom left corner:

Step 9. Choose “Scan a QR code”, allow the app to use the camera, and point it at the QR code in the “Consta” app:

Done! On your screen, you can see a code that changes every 60 seconds:

Step 10. Now check the box next to “I confirm that I have backed up my secret key” and click “Continue”:

Step 11. On the next screen, request a confirmation code to your email, input the current code from the Google Authenticator app, and click ”Submit”.

💡 The code from the authenticator is updated every 60 seconds. If you didn't manage to enter the code from the email and click "Submit" during this time, just enter a new one.

Step 12. You can close this screen by clicking "Close":

If you did everything correctly, the 2FA status will change to "Enabled" within 5 seconds:
